what we have learnt from making our swede:

From making our swede i have learnt that now anyone can be a film producer! We are now all able to be prosumers; this means we can now both produce and consume content from the internet thanks to websites such as 'Youtube' which was only created 8 years ago. This also links with convergent technologies which means we now have digital technologies that have many other technologies in it. e.g: smart phones.
Film industries have become more democratic because of technology. By uploading videos on to sites such as youtube we are now able to access the video from all over the world so we are creating a global audience. this helps with promotion as lots of people can watch this from everywhere and at any time.
Other ways of promotion is cross media convergence, this is when we have products but that would not be created without one another. an example of this is the song 'Skyfall' by Adele, it was only created for the film and would not of been made without it. Similarly, synergy is a form of promoting also. This is  products that promote each other, both products would be beneficial as they would both be promoting each other. an example of this is McDonalds happy meals that promote the happy meal but also the film because of the toy inside of it. This is similar to our swede as we would have the same font of out title on the advertisement posters so the logo would be seen around and the audience would be familiar with what film it is.
Overall, now that technology is so advanced anyone can produce a film and be a producer. We now have the technology and the software to do it without the millions of pounds.
