What i learned from making the swede?

What i learned from making the swede?

I learned a lot of things by making a swede,
This includes.....
                           Being a prosumer: I have learnt that we are both prosumers and consumers because we produced an context to be consumed.

Synergy meaning products promoting each other .
             
Cross Media Convergence: Two products promoting each other but would not exist without each other.

Convergent Technologies: Used to communicate with audiences, fans.

Global audiences: We can have global audiences and this is because of the internet. This is very helpful to prosumers as they can be seen around all over the globe.

I have also learnt that prosumers in the 21st century are very lucky than the 20th century producers because they have the internet so they can use it to publish their movies and they can communicate with their fans.

What we learned from making the swede

Prosumer: consumed + produced - 2 way process you have produced content to be consumed on the internet.

synergy- products promote each other/ mutually beneficial.

cross media convergence- like synergy but the products wouldn't exist without each other
e.g adele "Skyfall" song is a specially created media product.

convergent technologies- hugely important for communicating with audiences, gaining a fan base, engaging with fans etc.

Global audiences- we have the evidence!
can only do that because of internet.Due to the internet we are now able to see who is viewing our videos and from what country they are from.In our swede 100% of all our viewers were from the united kingdom which tells us that we did not have global distribution.

film industry has become more democratic because of technology!!!!!!

what we have learnt from making a swede? *paranormal activity swede*

firstly i have learnt how to be a consumer this is what i have consumed and produces, it is a two way process, i produced content to be consumed on the Internet. i had to watch paranormal activity and then get some parts from it, then put it together and published it on facebook. we have also learnt how to use synergy this is through the cloths we were wearing such as Nike and Adidas, also through our phones iphones and samsung. on the other hand we haven't used cross media convergence, this is like synergy but the products wouldn't exist without each other. and example of this is Adele skyfall and the movie skyfal. this was a specially made song made for the movie skyfall. we also have learnt about global audience how but having Internet we can have people from all over watching our swede which would give us more views. film industries has become more DEMOCRATIC because of technology.

what we have learnt from making our swede:

From making our swede i have learnt that now anyone can be a film producer! We are now all able to be prosumers; this means we can now both produce and consume content from the internet thanks to websites such as 'Youtube' which was only created 8 years ago. This also links with convergent technologies which means we now have digital technologies that have many other technologies in it. e.g: smart phones.
Film industries have become more democratic because of technology. By uploading videos on to sites such as youtube we are now able to access the video from all over the world so we are creating a global audience. this helps with promotion as lots of people can watch this from everywhere and at any time.
Other ways of promotion is cross media convergence, this is when we have products but that would not be created without one another. an example of this is the song 'Skyfall' by Adele, it was only created for the film and would not of been made without it. Similarly, synergy is a form of promoting also. This is  products that promote each other, both products would be beneficial as they would both be promoting each other. an example of this is McDonalds happy meals that promote the happy meal but also the film because of the toy inside of it. This is similar to our swede as we would have the same font of out title on the advertisement posters so the logo would be seen around and the audience would be familiar with what film it is.
Overall, now that technology is so advanced anyone can produce a film and be a producer. We now have the technology and the software to do it without the millions of pounds.

Thor Website

Marvel have created a website for 'Thor' which includes clips, pictures, Information about the cast, a shop which sells merchandise, games and more!  

Thor Premiere

The global premiere for 'Marvel's Thor: The Dark World' was at Odeon Leicester Square on October 22, 2013 in London, England. Many of the cast members have arrived to promote the film, including: Natalie Portman (who played Jane Foster), Chris Hemswork (who played Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (who played Loki). Other celebrities such as X-Factor finalists also arrived. Pictures attached.
